Everyone would like to feel more energetic during the day. Naturally, you go through periods of higher activity that contrast with the times of relaxation. The problem occurs when more energy and concentration are needed than we can give. Or when we try to sleep and we can't. Follow these invaluable tips for a new you!
1) stay on a regular sleep schedule. You can't stay up late for the weekend, and all of a sudden, Monday morning you wake up renewed. If you enjoy later on Friday and Saturday night, promise to go to bed early on Sunday to get up rested.
2) avoids the roller coaster of sugar and caffeine. Eat some protein and foods with a little fat in the morning. The brain needs protein and the body doesn't store it. You don't have to eat much: a glass of low-fat milk, a piece of cheese, or a handful of nuts will put you in motion instead of pure carbohydrates like a bagel.
3) Take a 5-10-minute nap around lunch. Even if you just close your eyes and let your mind wander, you'll be cool in the afternoon. This is also effective every time you feel that you are not concentrating, reading the same material over and over again. Give up the impulse and relax completely for a few moments.
4) Drink more water and fluids. I know, everyone says they drink more fluids. But most Americans are in a constant state of dehydration when filled with coffee, tea and sodas with caffeine. This is very stressful for the kidneys and may cause bladder irritation. Keep a sports bottle full of your favorite flavored water or simply keep it with you at all times. Set a goal: empty for lunch, fill, empty again when work is finished. Take a lot of water in the car for you and your family too.
5) exercising regularly. This is easier said than done with a busy schedule. A bad level of conditioning makes you lack your breath and your heart accelerates when you only do simple things like climbing a flight of stairs or doing chores. Park further when you go shopping and walk. Remove dust from the exercise machine or get an exercise treadmill to play when the weather is bad. Set an example for the rest of your family and maybe they will join you too!
6) A joke a day keeps the doctor away. Seriously, laughter has many beneficial effects on the body. The brain's chemicals to experience pleasure, happiness and peace increase with good and cordial laughter. Live alone? Get a funny movie or watch a cheerful comedy on TV. Nothing sarcastic or humiliated, though.
7) Avoid confrontations and situations with negative people. You know who they are. They are not going to change, but they will make you feel bad and your state of mind. Those who complain, the gossip and the generally unhappy souls with which we all have to deal in the day to day exhaust our energy if we allow it. Be polite but avoid arguing or engaging to listen to your constant problems.
8) take daily and regular supplements of the highest quality. Our food and diets simply do not meet the amounts needed for maximum health. There is a difference between avoiding nutritional deficiencies and optimal performance.
