If you are one of those millions of overweight Americans, you may have heard about the incredible peanut butter diet, but are you sure where this diet came from? Are you skeptical about your ability to really help people lose weight? Isn't the peanut butter high in fat? Is it really healthy to focus on a particular type of "miraculous food" when you are dieting? These are the types of questions that need to be addressed when contemplating any diet, but especially the incredible peanut butter diet.
Certainly, it is true that Americans love peanut butter, either the elegant class you get from the small gourmet stores that promote your "totally natural" goodness or the mass production that we all grew up with. So let's address some of the above questions about the incredible peanut butter diet.
First of all, the surprising peanut Butter diet was introduced in the United States through the magazine "Prevention ". It was so popular that the editors of the magazine created a full book on the subject, which you can request from Amazon or pick up at the local bookstore. "Prevention " has a good reputation and, as a result, the incredible peanut Butter diet also has a good reputation.
So the first question is answered and now we need to address the second. Can the incredible peanut butter diet really help people lose weight? Well, believe it or not, there are some studies that show that the incredible peanut butter diet really helped people lose weight.
A control group study was conducted in Boston; Half of the overweight participants received a low-fat diet. The other half received approximately 35% of their total calories as monounsaturated fats, the type found in peanut butter, olive oil and the like. Everything else remained the same, i.e. both groups ate the same amount of calories.
For women, the number of calories was 1200 per day. So what happened? Both groups lost roughly the same amount of weight, but the positive (for peanut butter lovers and peanut producers) is that people who ate the creamy quality were kept in their diet better than the other half of the Participants. Although at first glance seems like good news, it is probably important to realize that 1200 calories are almost not calories. Almost any woman who eats only 1200 calories a day will lose weight.
I guess if you love peanut butter, this would be a great plan for you as you can eat a limited amount every day. However, if you can take it or leave it, perhaps the incredible peanut butter diet is not right for you.
Well, then the incredible peanut butter diet has some backing, and people had good results in a study, but now is the time to address the third problem: fat content. If you thought peanut butter was high in fat, you're right. However, some experts claim that the type of fat found in peanut butter is really good for you. Peanut butter has monounsaturated fats. So are the avocados.
Could this diet so easily be called the incredible avocado diet for people who prefer green fruit to crushed walnuts? With 1200 calories and anything with monounsaturated fats, would the results be the same? More people are likely to prefer peanut butter, so I guess that's why choosing peanut butter over avocados was just for commercialization.
