Some of the most spectacular fly fishing activities in the United States are in the state of Colorado. In fact, when many people think of fly-fishing, they automatically think of Colorado rather than anywhere else. It is true that Colorado has some amazing places for fly fishing that have some trophy size fish.

The Frying Pan River is known as one of the best fly fishing rivers in the state. This is a beautiful river with easy access. Located on the outskirts of Aspen, Frying Pan is home to a variety of trout, including Rainbow, Brown and fierce. There are hatches throughout the year that make it possible to fly fishing in any season for the avid fisherman.

Another great river in the Aspen area is the Roaring Fork. This diverse river varies from small and quiet to large and powerful in some places. The river is classified as wild trout waters and is easily accessible by the Rio Grande Trail. As with the "Pan ", Fishing year-round is available. You will mainly find wild rainbow trout on the fork with an occasional wild brook trout.

In the Vail area, you can catch the Colorado River, which is located in the Rocky Mountains National Park. This is a river that is mostly wide and deep with a stream that moves smoothly. Cottonwood trees line up on the shore and offer plenty of hiding places for the brown trout that abound in this water.

The Arkansas River is located in the southwestern part of the state and offers excellent trout fishing for fishermen.
